Judges will be looking for training providers who can demonstrate a real commitment to the development of individual apprentices, relationships with business and the promotion of work undertaken.

They will also be interested in the training provider’s culture of encouraging apprenticeship development and celebrating the achievement of apprentices.

Evidence of solid results of apprenticeship growth and development and future plans for continued development is essential.

Essential Criteria

  • You must be working with current apprentices on an official apprenticeship programme.
  • Training apprentices must account for a sizable part of your organisation.
  • The majority of your business must be based within Gloucestershire.
  • You must be able to clearly demonstrate apprenticeship growth and development, alongside ambition for the future.

Judges will be looking for entries which showcase the benefits to be gained from their commitment to Apprenticeships which are measurable and quantifiable. Judges will also be considering best practice and transferability.

  • Your company must have employed an apprentice since April 2021.
  • The majority of your business must be based within Gloucestershire.

Judges will be looking for entries which showcase the impact an apprentice has had on the organisation they work for, as well as evidence of personal self-development and progression.

Throughout the judging process, judges will be looking for an apprentice who is able to demonstrate a passion for their chosen apprenticeship.

The apprentice must currently be an Intermediate Apprentice (Level 2), an Advanced Apprentice (Level 3) or be completing a Higher Apprenticeship.

The majority of the employer’s business must be based within Gloucestershire. You must be able to clearly demonstrate your/ the apprentice’s contribution to the workplace. If apprentices are submitting the entry directly, they must be able to provide a 150 word supporting reference from their employer.

This category can include but is not limited to:

Accountancy / Taxation, Credit Controller / Debt Collection, Legal, Compliance / Risk, Conveyancing, Financial Services, Insurance, Audit, Mortgage Adviser, Motor Finance, Payroll Administrator, Probate Technician, Professional Economist, Relationship Manager (Banking), Pensions, Advertising, Sales, Procurement And Supply, Marketing, Events, Estate Agent, Public Relations.

The GloucestershireLive Apprentice of the Year is our overall winner and will be selected from all sector winners.

Our GloucestershireLive Apprentice of the Year must currently be undertaking their apprenticeship or have completed this since April 2021.

The judges are looking for apprentices who can demonstrate significant achievements, contribution to their employer and commitment to developing their skills and show the impact they have made within the organisation they work.
